About a year ago my 2007 SRX started acting up. It would not start and would make clicking sounds, So of course I go buy a new compatible battery at AutoZone and worked ok but if it sat for over a week a parasitic drain causes the car to not turn over and requires charger assistance.

So I buy another battery with same result but months later it gets worse. Now the car wont last a day sitting when trying to start it. Completely drained battery. Nothing is obvious to cause since all light are checked. Perhaps glitchy security system? Or car needs specific Cadi battery?

Havent had a chance to take to dealer so asking here for now. Thanks for any advice!

have you checked to make sure there are no loose wires in the engine compartment or dashboard

Everything looks good. Taking car in for recall work so will have dealer look at it and share my experience in case anyone else has same issue. Keep in mind I took car to another dealership when it first started happening and they didnt know what was wrong. And suggested new battery.
