looking to replace radio/cd player in my 1995 Z28

Asked by Edinboro May 13, 2013 at 02:05 PM about the 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Coupe RWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Hi...the cd player in my 1995 Z28 is biting the dust.  The car has just under 90k miles and runs great except the cd player jumps around....no problem as I use the cd player more than listening to radio stations.  Question is what range of years (95 and up) can I have installed in the car.  I like the knob style radio with a few pre-select station buttons so I'd like to stay away from these high-tech units with a lot of fancy options.   From 95 up to what year in the 2000s can I look for a radio/cd player that will fit into my car?  Also, can you recommend a source for these radio-cd players?

I'd say go to crutchfield.com and get a new radio, but if you have to have ac delco. I'd say ebay or salvage yard. I'd say that pretty much any gm radio from an olds, pontiac, chevy, ect would fit.
