Question type: Maintenance & Repair

turn the ignition on to start and run the car, it is hard to run. can hear the fuel pump,
then can try to crank it and have to try several times before it cranks and runs. it will
then idle at 1000 rpms. once the temp gets up to about 180 and the idle starts to drop
to around 700-750 the idle fluctuates back up to 1000 and then drops back down to
700. then it will fluctuate from 500-700 ish for about 5 minutes then it dies. if try to re-
crank it it kicks back hard. ive checked ALL lines, hoses, connectors, ecm, egr,
alternator, coil, starter, distributor, smog pump, vacuum lines, throttle body, ignition
module, pressure tested fuel, and the list goes on. But the car still will not come to
life.Help me please.

Also try fuel filter. Did not see that in your list had a similar problem with my 92 SS would crank and run but when I put it into fear would bogg down and would not take throttle ended up being my cat was stoped slam up so I cut it off and welded me an old fire exstingusher in its place after cutting holes in it to make it fit

checked the the tps, cat and fuel pump and the filter. also have changed the spark plugs, and the distributor( opti). it does crank and run (not as hard) as it did but it still will idle down and die. nothing new on the scanner to report. this is getting rediculous. I have about had it. thank you all for your suggestions.
