Does the car turn on at all?

I have a 2001 Camaro SS and the security light came on as well but my car didn't turn on at all. I had to Tow it, and Chevrolet told me if I jump started my car or helped someone else that's there's a certain way to do it, if you do it wrong there is a possibility of the car not turning at all you'd have to reset everything. To be honest I'm still not entirely sure what happened exactly butyl security light did come on and I did have to take it in. Hope that helps brother.

I believe there's a green and a white security wire in the passenger door leading to the electric lock, it's a ghetto way for a quick trouble shooting way, but cut the censor off and touch wires together for a brief second and it will reset, so u can start it,. Had the problem with a 2003 camaro, and a 1999 jeep Cherokee and tgats what I did

Got a 2001 Camaro z28 new battery and alternator.want charge stays in the red and check gauge light want go off.
