MY clutch has no tension. when i start the car i CANNOT go into first gear. I have to turn off the car, place it in 1st gear and then drive off. I can change gears after im rollong. Please help.

I have a 2006 Kia Spectra manual. The car has to be started in first gear to roll. Afterwards, I can shift into my next gears just not to first if need be. And when I stop, I have to turn off the car because it will not go into first on its own. What is causing this? The stick does not come out of place when driving in selected gears.

It may be a syncro for first gear in the trany, or maybe the slave cylinder needs replacing or bled out.
Also it just may be an adjustment down by the slave cylinder.
Im no mechanic by any means, sooooooo. And yea, ive been reading about a loose pedal.....idk what to do. I just hope its not major. I drive it locally and haven't had any problems except for stopping. im scared to drive it far distances. Rowefast, I really think its an adjustment that I need....................my brake fluid is full and I do not know the reservoir everyone is talking about
Just take it to a garage and have it checked out. If it is the slave cylinder, it is not that major of a repair.
