Having a hard time getting the check engine light (CEL) off when I start the car the CEL is off but I see when the radiator fan starts the(CEL) light comes and the car runs rough especially at idle. No Code   someone out there help me stop bangin my head

Have a look at the coolant temperature sensor and the wiring going to it. If the sensor becomes disconnected the cooling fans will come on and the check engine light will come on too. This should store a trouble code though. Hope that helps! Jim

Your suggestion proved that the temp sensor was bad. Thank you Jim However, the same issue happens about the time the cooling fan comes on. But now I see that the temp is higher before I changed the sensor. So the scenario is still the same. The car runs rough and the Chk Engine- like its starving for gas or air- at almost the same time the cooling fan comes on. Im a part changer now. The EGR selonid control valve is next.
