2005 Town & Country won't crank - no clicking sound

Asked by Guru5RF6F Feb 01, 2018 at 08:37 AM about the 2005 Chrysler Town & Country Touring LWB FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2005 Town & Country intermittently won't turn over. Lights and chimes come
on when you turn the key & the battery is less than a year old.It happens when
the engine is cold or hot. I don't here a clicking noise when trying to start it.
After about three or four tries, it starts right up. Thanks for the advice!

I intalled new terminal wires about a month ago thinking the issue was the same thing. Both battery witers are tight on the terminals. Could they be loose on the other end? Where would that be? (on the starter?)

if you check the connections on the starter you probably have it nearly removed , at that point I would replace it with a original equipment rebuild , don't buy cheap , when I took care of ford vans I got tired of crappy starters that couldn't take the heat
