Transaxle code 23

Asked by jwjones87 Jan 26, 2016 at 07:46 PM about the 1994 Saturn S-Series 4 Dr SL1 Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have had my 1994 Saturn sl1 for about 2 years. It
has always banged in to reverse. This morning it
was jumping every time I pressed on the gas. On
the way home it got much worse, the check engine
light came on and it was having trouble
maintaining speed and really jumped when I
pressed on the gas. I did the paperclip trick and got
code 11 transaxle code 23, no third gear. Please
help, this is my only car.

Try the wall trick yet get a blanket in between your car and the wall so it doesn't get damaged and just lightly press gas pedal taking stress off your transmission. Have your transmission fluid changed from your transmission cooler line the inlet line and dumping that into fresh fluid and the outlet line off the transmission cooler you can have that as the waistline and what you do is you pump fluid in while the transmissions is on while the car is in drive you put it up on blocks and accomplish it that way its easier way it's less stress on your transmission and you're not pumping high pressure hose lines into it and gravity feed it in the new fluid and takes out the old fluid that way you fill it all the way up with brand new fluid try that that's what I'd recommend see what happens
