i put an aftermarket radio in my 97 Saturn SL2 and at first everything worked then me n my buddy welded my exhaust (battery was disconnected the entire time) after that the radio wouldn't come on so i changed the blown fuse now the radio works but when the headlight switch is off my interior lights are on but the headlights are off and when i turn my headlights on all my interior lights go off and the headlights come on. I have checked all the fuses none are blown and when i hook the factory radio back up i get no interior lights at all. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Check for possible burnt wires from the welding. I would also clean and tighten the negative battery connection on the frame and motor. Sounds like you might have a loose/dirty connection there. And the welding could have caused an arc at the connection point.

Check behind the radio also, could have a wire that took some time to rub through. The daytime running light wires run behind the radio on the 90s grand am.
