98 SL2 no spark

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Engine cranks, no spark. Swapped coil - no spark. There are no codes showing on an engine scanner. All-Data lists order of fix as coil, crank sensor, computer. Is there a way to check of the Crank Sensor rather than simply replacing it?

If it is not showing on scan,it most likely is good, check main fuse,s and relay,s.

What test did you peform to determine no spark condition? Do you have power to the coil? After the coil?

I agree with tst above. Bad sensor would most likely throw a code if computer is OK.
