Car died and won't start now

Was driving my car and the rpm shot
up then car just died. Days before this I
was told the nss sensor was going out
BUT man who helped me move it outta
road said motor is locked up. Please
help me figure it out

Take the spark plugs out and see if you can turn the engine over by the crankshaft bolt with a socket.
Now all its doing is clicking when try to turn.it over
Not a good sign if it turned over no problem before.
If the NSS switch did go out while driving would it cause the car to die and not start again? How do I know forsure that the motor is locked up?
Take the spark plugs out and see if you can turn the engine over by hand by putting a strong arm and socket onto the bottom pulley bolt that is attached to the crankshaft and see if you can turn it over. Or if you know the starter works try tuning it over with the spark plugs out.
Yes the starter is good, so I take spark plugs out and then see if it will turn over? If it doesnt, then what's that mean?
If the engine doesn't turn over, then it is locked up and would need replacing if you want to keep the car.
Okay so I'm here at my car and I'm sorry I'm a single mom trying to figure this out myself so please be patient with me. do I need to take all sparkplug out or will just one be okay?
Listen closely and turn the key to start. What does it sound like? Like a good solid click then thats it?
Yes and then put back in, car started but battery isn't holding a charge
Well thats kind of a good thing don't you think? Better than a locked up engine. Will the car stay running?

I got the car maybe a mile and half down road and at red light it died now battery won't charge- sounds like alternator possibly. BUT car was making a strange noise when I was driving it.
My dad had it hooked up to cables but it's taking AWHILE to charge
What kind of noise, and from where, the engine? Have you checked the oil?
It's like a tat tat tat sound and the whole motor is shaking back and forth. Car won't stay running
