Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car cranks, starts, and reaches operating temp. If you shut it off and try to
restart it will not crank. Once car cools and sets for a day then it restarts.

When the problem is ongoing, if the starter motor won't crank the engine, then I'd have to check voltage circuits and ground for the starter motor. Now, if it cranks good but won't start, that is a different issue. Have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the spark plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure and injector pulse. Go from there.

I don't know about your car, but on a Volkswagen beetle it was a cracked ignition switch. Couldn't be seen.. cracked inside.
