noise in front of car
1 Answer
While the battery's on the opposite side, you can start by checking to make sure it is secured, on the off-chance that is the cause. You could also do a quick check with a flashlight, look down through the engine bay to see if there's anything that may be bouncing around-rocks, or quite plausibly, misplaced tools. But the most important thing is that you describe this sound. Crunch? Bang? Creek? Explosion? As funny as the noise is to you, neither I nor a mechanic can say what it is without a description of what it is.
