Engine runs with key off

The engine continues to run even though the key is
turned off , it runs exactly the same when the key is
off , the dash light all stay on i can put it gear it
stays running I can rev it , I just replaced the
ignition switch about a week ago , it seemed to fix
it for awhile . This does not happen every time.
Mostly when it's hot

That was my first thought too, so I went AutoZone bought a new switch, installed it. It was fine for about 2 weeks

What about the ignition lock cylinder did you replace that or is that what you're talking about the switch? Because as far as I understand it you have the lock cylinder then you have like an electronic thing that mates with the lock cylinder and it's called the ignition switch so if you replace the electronic ignition switch then I would think about replacing the ignition lock cylinder.
