Oil in high mileage 2000 Saturn Sl2

Asked by MP73 May 25, 2016 at 04:24 PM about the 2000 Saturn S-Series 4 Dr SL2 Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My add oil light began flashing today on my 2000
Saturn SL2 so I checked and was not getting a very
good reading on the dipstick. I added three and a
half quarts! I have only had the car for less than a
month and have no obvious signs of leakage in my
driveway or under the car itself. What could have
happened? I hope I caught this soon enough and
didn't damage the head gasket!

Yeah high mileage Saturn's have 4 cylinders & they burn a little bit of oil like about quart every two months depending on your mileage you know that's probably all it is its burning oil
