2000 Saturn SW 2 has a high idle problem

Hi HwnBoi, You could have a problem with the throttle position sensor reporting incorrectly. I would also have your computer scanned for any trouble codes (like an O2 sensor) that would produce a lean mixture. Good luck!
mine acted up only once and awhile after being drive 20 plus miles. when I came to a stop the idle would go up to 28-3200 rpms. if I shut the car off then turned it back on it would b okay. it was the idle air control valve. once I pulled into a parking lot and the car was revving high so I popped the hood and tapped it with a wrench and the idle returned to normal. replaced it for 35.00 dollars and it has been fine for the past year and a half.
Hey does 2000 Saturn S-Series have a timing belt or chain
Has a chain all Saturns have chains only.
