why does my saturn 2001 saturn sc2 when i take my foot off the gas paddle it wants to shut off i have to drive with break and gas what is the problem

when I drive I have to use both feet one for gas and the other the brakes so it won't shut off while i'm a stop light or in traffic

Sounds like your idle air control valve is either dirty or faulty.

Maybe your engine idle speed is too low need asmall increase

There isn't a way to do that. The idle speed is programmed into the PCM

What about the EGR valve. I had a 1999 SC2 and the was my problem.
