will not go into 4x4

put it into 4x4 but nothing happens

Hi Doug! The first thing to check is the level of your transmission fluid. If your level is low you can fill it, see if that helps the 4X4 engage, and then look for the source of the low fluid level if it does. If your level is fie, you'll probably need professional diagnostics. You could head to your local library and see if they have the Chilton's for your particular model year. Most come with troubleshooting guides and they may have a guide that will walk you through this problem so you can zero in your problem. Good luck.
