gas mileage

I love my truck but it is breaking the bank at the gas pump. Is there any way to improve this or am I going to have to take on a second job just so I can afford to drive this little gas guzzler?

sorry ,but you got what u got,not much to do,tune up,cold air induction,replace fuel filter,run a can of fuel injector cleaner in a tank of gas.

the mileage isnt that bad.... ive got a 97 4.0L 4x4 with a 5 speed with 31s on it and i get 20 down the highway... experiment with it a lil bit.. dont jump right up to speed get there gradually and youll see a difference.

Also if you have a clutch fan you can swap to an electric fan so that your motor doesn't have that resistance clean or replace oxygen sensor and mass airflow sensors and clean or replace the injectors I'm having the same problem but no apparent issues
