Tahoe/Yukon 2007 Oil Pressure gauge blew 0

Hello

My 2007 Tahoe oil pressure gauge is way blew 0 when vehicle is off. gauge sits
near 6 o'clock. When Started it comes up but stays around 5-10 psi
Any help is mt cluster bad?

Maybe issue with oil pressure sending unit? You might could use an analog gage in place of sending unit, to double check oil pressure. I don't have you oil pressure spec in front of me. You need to find that spec for your vehicle. In the old days they used to say minimum 10 psi for every thousand rpms. I've seen generic spec of 20--30 psi at idle, higher at cruising speed. You need the proper specs, which I don't have. The sending unit sends reading to pcm, the pcm then sends serial data to instrument cluster for oil pressure. The problem could be anywhere along that circuit. Just my opinion.
