My oil light is not coming on when my oil is low or

Why would the engine be low or out of oil? There is a problem there. Replace the oil sending unit. Also there probably is a screen underneath the oil pressure sending unit that would need to be fished out and cleaned, then put back in.

Your oil light will never come on if you check your oil frequently and keep it filled. Remember this... you only run out of oil ONCE. After that, you'll be shopping for a new car. Or a new $6,000 engine.
