i have a 2006 trailblazer and when it gets warm the check guages light comes on and the message board tells me oil pressure is low and to stop engine

I just had the oil changed  and still did it. doesn't do it when I drive short distances but if I go prob more than  10 min it will do it. then if I let car cool down and drive it , it does it again

most likely is the problem is the oil sending unit. it goes bad. use syntheric oil, parts in the vehicles last longer.

Put some engine block cleaner in it then change the oil and filter and put two caps of Sea form in it
