07 Chevy HHR

Asked by 07Hhrdriver May 25, 2017 at 09:20 AM about the 2007 Chevrolet HHR LS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My ABS and TC lights pop on, the lights on my dash and
lights on my radio start to flicker off and on, thin power
steering starts to flash and shortly after the power steering
starts to fade out and I start losing power through my car.
Could it be my battery. I toook my battery to get
tested/charged and they said I had 3 to 6 months life left. I
put battery back on and about a hour later it's starts doing
the same thing again.

It sounds like the alternator is not keeping the battery charged properly, but it will also need a new battery at the same time it sounds like. Replace the Alternator.

Check the serpentine belt and have the alternator checked. This can be done at a local auto parts store such as O'reilly Auto. Also check all the battery connections at the battery and the starter. These connections need to be clean, free from corrosion and tight.
