Sounds like running water when I acelerate

Asked by April102horses10 Nov 26, 2016 at 01:01 PM about the 2007 Pontiac Torrent Base AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I got my Pontiac Torrent just over a month ago and I've been noticing that it
sounds like running water when I step on the gas pedal and occasionally when I
start it up. My drivers side floor is wet and I stuck a wire as far up into the ac
congestion drain as I could but it is still happening. Is there anything else that I
may be missing?

It could also possibly be a sunroof drain clogged (if equipped) or another body drain. On the wet floor, is it antifreeze or water? If antifreeze, more than likely a heater core issue. If water, I would check the a/c as you have, and also body drains on the car. Certain makes and models are notorious for issues such as this, which can cause extensive water to be housed in the vehicle. Hope this helps.
