2006 suburu forester. finally got it to crank up but now it will not stay running but a few seconds and cut off. it will die asap if i touch the gas. ive had lots of trouble with this subi. to get a lil history on it look at other questions and answers i have asked on same car. it had not been run in about six to seven months. was a no spark situation but i figured that out. now this. any answers yall?

2006 forester will start but die after like two second or as soon as you try to give
it gas. fuel filter is good and pump for sure. all sensors are clean and connected
well. will not stay running at all if you attempt to push gas just die. need a lil
input.

it was the ecu. i was told by grayson suburu that my forester did not have an immobilizer and that turned out to be incorrect. since i changed ecu it had to programmed to my key. got it taken care of runs fine

my 2005 suburu forester has 53,000 original miles on it and I am the original owner. The car has had its routine services by the dealer since I bought it new. Recently my check engine light and cruise control green light flashing with the AT oil temp coming on after driving over 50 mph. My lovely Honda was just totaled by a tree falling on it...Looking for a Subaru now. I drove a 2006 Forester LL Bean with 149000 miles on it. The car was originally purchased at the same dealership and maintenance done at the same Subaru dealership. It had one owner I was told that it's inevitable that the head gaskets will fail.
