Leather Seats

Asked by ron322 Aug 05, 2007 at 10:33 AM about the 2007 Subaru Forester 2.5 X Premium Package

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I am interested in a Subaru Forester Premium, however, the Premium does not come with leather seats.  I would like to negotiate the addition of leather seats with the dealer. Do you think that the dealer would consider this?

Absolutely Ron. I used to work at a dealership and we used to have after-market companies install leather all the time. Negotiate the price of the leather seats as a condition of buy the car. What they will try and do is set a price on the car first, and then start to talk about adding leather, but try and make them add the price of the leather in with the car.

it will cost anywhere from 1500 to 2000 to add leather to the car- don't be surprised if they can't throw it in, but they should be able to help you out at least.
