im having trouble with my clutch or transmission.

the gears are not mating. its an abnormal shirt. stuck in gear but releasing the
clutch pedal only gets gears to grind. stick shift is hard to move at all. manual
trans. only neutral i can find is with clutch engaged. i think its stuck in overdrive.

Check your clutch master cylinder fluid level and top off if necessary. If it is low it will prevent the slave cylinder from fully depressing the pressure plate leaving the engine and transmission partially engaged. If the fluid level is good, you should get the clutch inspected by a trusted mechanic. Your clutch could be worn, cracked (or shattered - this happened to my Landcruiser and left me with similar shifting problems; external inspection looked good, but when they pulled the tranny, the clutch pieces fell all over.).
