Fuel pump for 2.5 GT Turbo charge

Asked by Deeegask Sep 20, 2016 at 04:54 PM about the 2007 Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT Spec.B AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi my car was sitting for about a year and a
half after working perfectly now its not
turning over.  After some investigation
found out it needed a fuel pump.  I couldn't
afford a dealer pump so I purchased a
generic pump based on car specs.  Still
won't turn over.  The difference  i noticed
with this pump is that its missing the two
top side flaps.  It also seems like the filter is
too big to fit and has to be bent and
blocking the fuel from flowing.  Please help!

if it is not turning over it would not be the pump it would be a dead battery or starter problem

Hi Crumbob thank you for responding. I installed a new battery and had the starter checked and its good. The fuel is barely coming through the lines. The tank is full of fuel
