Any time you change out the original part of a car,it effect,s the value, because it is not genuine to the car.

If the car is valuable as a rare or original ...it can effect it ...but only marginally I think ...as the original numbers will still match. In the event that it is not ...it will increase the value as a fresh engine is reliable & a sought after feature. Especially in some cars ...my BMWs & Jaguar costs a bloody fortune to have the dealer do work on each of them & I would have NEVER hesitated to purchase one with a fresh rebuilt engine ...ESPECIAL a FACTORY rebuild. I would say it is a plus & should make the car MORE valuable in most all cases. ...Jim
