I recently bought a 2007 ford fusion SE, the blower on the ac didn't work the first few days, then randomly came on while i was driving, blower worked on all speed settings, for about 2 weeks, then randomly stopped working again (doesn't blow on any speed), about a week ago, and hasn't come back on again yet. I can feel cold air circulating through the vents, (it gets drawn out more with the windows down), so the air is cold, just not blowing out of the vents. not sure what's wrong. ideas?

update: I just had 2 of the 3 catalyitic converters replaced, work that was needing to be done already, and for some reason now my blower is working again. almost seems to be related somehow, but i don't really understand how.

I should mention, I had suspension work done, and also the rear engine mount, which part of the exhaust had to be taken off the replace that. that's when I noticed the debris that got knocked loose blocked up the cat worse, and a day or so after is when the ac blower stopped. but as soon as I picked it up from the shop after having the cat work done, the blower was running as it should be. also, the cat problem was causing a shifting problem, which made me wonder about the transmission, but it was just the damaged cats. if that bit of info is helpful to anyone.

I had the same problem as Kjoh w/my 2006 Ford Fusion. I checked the fuses(in fuse box under hood) and all OK. I check the blower connection wires(under dash on passenger side) and they were loose. I unplugged and replugged and fixed the problem. Blower works fine now.....TX Tortuga
