2007 Buick Lucerne Headlights Stay On

Asked by GuruC39FQ Mar 12, 2019 at 03:52 PM about the 2007 Buick Lucerne V6 CXL FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2007 Buick Lucerne that I recently purchased used.  When the car is
running the headlights stay on unless I turn the switch to off.  The switch is
spring loaded so it wont stay in the off position.  Is this the normal operation?  I
expected the headlights to turn off during daylight.

They are day lamps, my 2007 Buick Lucerne cxl v8 has same thing. It is a safety feature.
