This could be a simple tune up fix. For a 98, when was the last tune up? I would go through it and and replace the ignition coil, plug wires and plugs. Put some fuel injector cleaner in the tank on your next fuel up with some good gas. Is the Check engine light on? Any codes?

No check engine light. Codes P700/P1776 Had tune up last week, added cleaner in current fill up and still doing it. I read it could be the PCV valve or AIC valve.... any thoughts?? Your help is appreciated.

This code indicates a transmission valve body solenoid issue. It's apparently a common issue with Chrysler? View this link for more info, it has some troubleshooting to try before you dig into the valve body on the tranny: http://en.allexperts.com/q/Chrysler-Repair-807/2009/5/P1776-Code.htm
