1998 Chrysler Town & Country Lxi 3.8L Problem

Asked by Joe_Marshall Jul 25, 2016 at 12:14 PM about the 1998 Chrysler Town & Country LXi LWB FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1998 Chrysler Town & Country Lxi 3.8L and every so often when I go to start it… it will only run for a couple of seconds… and then cuts off. The gas gauge will show that there’s no gas when there is gas in it. After some time has passed … sometimes 5 or 10 mins… sometimes a day, I can go to it and it will start right up.  It’ll show that there’s gas and run fine for a little while or a few days and then I’ll be somewhere and it will do it again. What’s up?

Check out what this guy has to say. Gonna try it myself - I am having the same problem as you with my 1999. http://www.allpar.com/model/m/repairs/3G-cluster.html
