what does low compression on all cylinders do to over all performance?

If the compression is really low, it can cause hard starting, loss of power and poor fuel mileage.

Bob, is correct! Also, it's dangerous. You will find it extremely difficult to merge with traffic and get out of way of oncoming cars. Plus, your car will not be able to pass emissions testing and cause you problems with registration in places like California or other states. It's a 1994 Chevy Cavalier....time to replace it..
