2007 VW Jetta 2.5 L - radiator fan stays on constantly, Why?

I have a 2007 VW Jetta 2.5 L - radiator fan stays on constantly, even after shutting the
car off. Have to disconnect the battery, because there is not a fuse / relay anywhere
under the hood or within the inside car panel. Anyone know what could cause this? - as I
understand it from research, my car does not have a Fan Control Module, either. Any and
all information greatly appreciated.
