when the VIN is dialed in, the carfax or many others can give the full report on what's been done with this car...takes out the "?"...turns out my mini with 33,000 miles had NINE owners and was a former rental...could not wait to change the environmental filter to get the socks smell out of the car~

if you DID decide to go with carfax, they would have a report on whether or not the car came in for it's factory scheduled maintenance...parts replaced...timing chain or belts, tires, bulbs, windshield wipers...all the nitty gritty...if this was done at an authorized service place tied to the VIN~
