Hi every one.
I have VW Passat FSI 2007 W/O Turbu. During driving suddenly I need to stop due to traffic. I press the brake  paddle it move down but without stopping the car and sound I hear like crashing or hitting to the road asphalt. finally it stopped with straggling. after that the brake working normally like if nothing happened. this happen to me two times within about two to three months.
The mechanic told me that I need to change the ABS module totally. Kindly if any one has experience with same issue please advise what to be fixed or changed to make it right?

He may be right, Have a complete wheels off brake inspection first.
