2007 pathfinder coolant leak

I recently heard about 07 pathfinders having
coolant leaking into transmission fluid causing
transmission failure. Can i check my transmission
fluid and see if coolant has been mixing in? Seems
like most people encounter problem before 100k
miles so with 130k miles is there a good chance
my coolant isnt leaking into trans? Is there
something I can do now such as a seperate trans
cooler? Any advice appriciated, thanks

check your coolant reservoir the coolant will look like milk if atf is mixing with the coolant it is caused by the transmission cooler developing a leak change your radiator to avoid this issue

Coolant can also go into the transmission and NOT the coolant reservoir so you need to take a look at the transmission fluid. If you only examine the coolant for the presence of transmission fluid you may miss it. You could install a stand alone transmission cooler and disconnect the transmission cooler loop that is inside the radiator and plug the connections at the radiator.
