Strange noise when first running the car

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Should my 911 make a strange noise for the first 15 minutes of operation? Seems like my engine/fan is unusually loud and ricketey when the car starts - but then seems to quiet down after 15-20 minutes of operation. Any help is much appreciated!

Might be related to the blower motor if it sounds like the fan is making a clanking noise. The 964 is known to have issues with the blower motor and it is replaced with the 993 version (part 993-624-328-01). I suggest you let a mechanic have a listen.
