i have a leak in the radiator, driver side below the hose. i was told there is a plastic tank
on that side that needs to be replaced. is this true and if so how hard is it to remove and
replace? i have no problems removing the radiator myself, i just need to know if replacing
the tank needs specialty tools, soldering, etc and what the R&R steps are. thanx.

the radiator guy told me it would be about $150 for him to fix it if I pull radiator. He said a new one is about 250-300. that seems high to me. do you agree?

Rock auto has them priced from 103-335. I think the ac delco was about 260, so his price wasnt bad if it was for ac delco or oem type. You can certainly get by cheaper , up to you.
They are way cheaper than 250-300. More like 150ish
Only plastic “jug” on driver side is the windshield washer fluid. It takes about 30 minutes to swap out .New jug $25 on line.
