power seat on 2007 buick lacrosse

Drivers seat moves up and down but will not move forward or back

Could be the switch, could be the motor. Need to test the switch and see of power is getting to the motor seat motor.

note the diagram, there is a different seat motor depending on what you want the seat to do. The horizontal motor should the one for forward and back movement. Could be something wrong with that motor? Sometimes I can use jumper wires at the motor for voltage and ground to see if motor will work? If you try that, use an inline fuse, just in case. Just my opinion.
