'98 Buick Lesabre Custom Shifter Problem

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Hi, recently my '98 Buick Lesabre hasn't been going into gear. It starts up normally, and
the fluids are at their norms, but once I put the gear into drive it acts like its in neutral.
I've had a my dad who take a look at it while I changed the gears, and he brought up it
could be the shifter unit may not be receiving the signal to actually switch.

No it won't go into reverse either, and is the shift cable easily view able?

Would it have anything to do with the TCM transmission control module?
