Rear wheel won't turn

Asked by Matteochs Feb 17, 2014 at 05:41 PM about the 2007 Pontiac G6 GT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The right rear wheel locked up. Took it off and inspected the brakes, tried to 'bleed' them and had difficulty, thought it was the caliper. Replaced that, but after the tire was placed back on, it locked up again. Checked the rotor, that was ok also.  Any suggestions?
Thank you

Did you check the wheel bearing? If that's okay, and you had difficulty bleeding the brakes, as in, not much came out, you could have a bad master cylinder. There is a residual pressure relief circuit inside the unit, and if it become clogged one or more brakes will not release, and you can have poor pressure at the caliper also.

I have the same problem. Wonder if there is some sort of moisture build up which is causing it? I have a 2008 G5
