2007 grand prix, remote start stopped working after pcm replacement

Asked by Zachary Mar 18, 2023 at 04:21 PM about the 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix, I replaced the factory PCM with a
remanufactured PCM. Remote start worked before the PCM was replaced. Now
the car won't start when using remote start. The car isn't giving me any CEL
codes. When you try to use remote start it does turn the fuel pump on like it
would if you have a CEL. The key fob does work for locking and unlocking just
not remote Start. The original pcm failed, that was the reason behind the
replacing.

Then it sounds like the flash was not completed correctly. If you had remote start before you should have it now.

Basically what I have been told is to try to get the key fobs relearned, but my solution was to send off the original pcm to get it tuned by zzp, as it was "bricked", they was able to tune it for me and now it works as it should
