2007 Pontiac Grand Prix starting issues

About a month ago my 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix
would not start. After thinking it was the starter
replaced that and still didn't start. Battery was badly
corroded so I cleaned the terminals and put a new
battery in it and then it ran just fine. Recently will
not start again. Turn the key and it either 1) clicks
multiples times and my alarm and wipers go crazy
or 2) will start and then die immediately after. If I
give the car gas when it starts at first it will stay on
but definitely not what I want to do. Anybody got
any ideas? Much appreciated.

I am curious if you were able to get this problem fixed. my moms 2007 is doing the same thing plus her trunk pops open when started. no one can find the answer. we replaced the starter and that stopped the alarm and wiper problem, but the other problems are still there. plus it sometimes will not start. If the car is cranking over but will not start as all these stupid ass pontiacs do then maybe try this method and see what happens. Touch nothing other than the key. Put key , turn to on.(do not start) leave it in on position for 10 minutes. turn key off and repeat the step two more times for a total of three times. Once the full 30 minutes is up after the last try turn key off then try to start. If this works it could be a lock cylinder issue. If the car was hot and shut off and cranks with no start then crank sensor might be faulty. Battery voltage has to be correct for these cars as well. 12 volts may not always start the car. This is a huge common problem and I am astounded we people can not resolve this issue with a quick internet search. Probably being deleted from online sites. I have 2 pontiacs, both 2007 and both have that very same issue. If not a faulty key or switch and not a faulty battery yet cranking still with no start then it could possibly well be the theft system. Not certain if a cam sensor would cause a no start for that particular car. Good luck and update if you actually discover what caused your issue.
