2007 pontiac grand prix in reduce power engine mode

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2007 pontiac grand prix that went into reduce power mode with engine.  Mechanic said that computer scan found an issue with the throttle body but they physically can't reproduce it. What does that mean?

i don't know if you ever fixed the problem but i was having the same issues and delayed acceleration. I took the throttle body assembly off the air intake and cleaned it with throttle body cleaner and a soft brush. it was really bad. It took me about an hour to take it off, clean and put it back on. Now it purrs like a kitten and better acceleration. I just did it so i dont know if i will get better gas mileage or not. Total cost $7.
