Why is my car bogging down

every now and then it seems that my
car will start bogging down I press the
accelerator and it just putts slow,
send like its sputters and slowly
accelerates, almost like it has bubbles
in the tank, added a fuel treatment to
it , someone said: bad gas maybe?
don't want to replace expensive parts
if I don't have to!! does anyone know
maybe what the problem is with my
2007 Pontiac Grand Prix

Could be a clogged catalytic converter.
I agree with Dorian on that one. Stop in at a muffler shop and have them check it out. If your state allows it you can simply have it removed. It's not worth replacing it on an older car. Unfortunately, with the myriad of sensors and sensitive electronics on modern cars there are probably several other things it could be. You need a properly equipped mechanic to trouble shoot it for you so you don't spend hundreds or even thousands on unneeded parts.

before you remove any catalytic converter,,have your map sensor checked first,it could be a false reading showing converter,however the bog may be coming from a faulty mix of air and fuel to the converter,,
My car is doing the same time. I can't even get up to speed on the highway. Mine is real bad. When driving on street it's real hard to get over 40 not. Please help
Does it say “reduced power” ?
