Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi,

My wife owns a 2007 Honda CR-V with both lights VSA (vehicle stability assist system) on.  The mil lamps have stayed on all day and she stated that the vehicle ran a little rough earlier today.  Does anyone know what might be wrong or what I might need to replace (connector, control unit, etc...).  I don't think it's a problem with the brakes because those seem to work fine so I'm guessing it must be something electronic.

check the fuses for the VSA, and TPMS(both connected to each other.)if the fuse is o.k it might be the VSA unit got problem, sometimes it is a programming glitch in the system. hope it is nothing serious

I have a 2007 Honda Ridgeline and the VSA Light, the exclamation point light, and the check engine light will come on. The truck doesn't move well, if at all, when they are on. I have taken it in for diagnostics. However, their decoder rings are unable to decode this issue when these lights are not on. The mechanic(s) have tested fuses, relays, etc and haven't come up with anything concrete. The codes the truck throws are: Controller Area Network Communication Malfunction (I think that means the satellites at NORAD are off just a bit with NASA), No DTC Definition Found. See Owner's Manual. ( I did see the owner's manual and didn't find a definition either), and Throttle Actuator Control Circuit Supply Voltage Circuit Stuck On. (The mechanic replaced that relay). But those lights still turn on at random and causes a forward momentum decline. This isn't tolerated well on the highway. Best way I have come up with to turn those off is to disconnect the battery, wait a minute or two, reconnect the battery, start the truck an go. Repeat as necessary. Or I leave it in the parking lot at the mechanic shop. They never turn on then.
