My 2006 PT Cruiser was checked at AutoZone because 3 lights stayed on. I got P1603, P0700 and P0882. Can anyone help me with these codes? The car only has 45000 miles on it and I have taken very good care of it.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

P0882 says Open or short circuit condition, failed TCM relay, failed Transmission solenoid/pressure switch. P0700 says shorted or open circuit within transaxle, failure of transaxle control module. P1603 says Failed ECM. Could it be just an electrical  problem that is causing all these light to come on??? I just spend over $1,000 to get my air conditioner fixed on the car. I love my car and I don't want to get rid of it but I don't want to put thousands more into the car. SOMEBODY HELP ME PLEASE!

I also wish you luck -- we have been trying to get one repaired for four years. We have taken it to three different electrical experts and had the Power Train control module replaced six times. All to no avail. The service manager at a local Chrysler dealership told us that they can't fix it and will not even work on it. The manager said that, in his opinion, it is the worst car ever made. The car is otherwise in beautiful condition and runs great until it suddenly drops into limp mode. Only has 67 thousand miles on it.
