A switch to unlock the trunk in the glove compartment

I have a 2006 PT Touring; if this model came with a glove box hatch release switch, it must have been an option that didn't come with my car. If you hit the unlock a second time, as though you were unlocking the passenger and back doors, this should also release the hatch. If that doesn't work, you may have to open it the old fashioned way with the key. On the early edition of these cars, The Chrysler badge in the middle of the hatch on earlier models served as a manual lift-release mechanism so that a key wasn't necessary. Unfortunately, by the time you and I bought our models, Chrysler apparently discontinued this feature, much to my dissatisfaction. Chances are that, if you can't find a release button in the glove box, the animal probably doesn't exist. Wish I had better news.
